Code execution via JT parser buffer overwrite
Published Jan 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Bentley View 10.15.0.75 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted JT file opened by the target. The JT parser writes crafted data past the end of an allocated buffer instead of rejecting the invalid file structure. Exploitation requires user interaction through a malicious file or page and runs code in the current process context.
