Code execution via JT parser buffer over-read
Published Jan 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Bentley View 10.15.0.75 allows remote attackers to execute code after a user opens a crafted JT file. The JT parser reads past the end of an allocated buffer while processing crafted data, permitting control flow in the current process. Exploitation requires user interaction through a malicious page or file, and resulting code runs with the privileges of the affected View process.
