Code execution via JT parser use-after-free
Published Jan 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Use-after-free in JT file parsing in Bentley Systems Bentley View 10.15.0.75 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted file. The parser fails to verify that an object still exists before operating on it, permitting reuse of freed memory during JT processing. Execution requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious JT file, and resulting code runs in the current process context.
