Code execution via delay-property use-after-free
Published Aug 4, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Use-after-free in Foxit PDF Reader 11.0.0.49893 and Mac 11.0.0.0510 allows remote attackers to execute code via a malicious PDF. The delay-property handler operates on an object without confirming it still exists, causing freed memory to be reused during JavaScript execution. Opening the crafted file or visiting a page that supplies it is required, after which code runs in the current process.
