CVE-2021-34823Network attack vector

Unauthenticated file disclosure via external XML entities

Published Aug 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

XXE in ON24 ScreenShare before 2.0 for macOS allows remote attackers to read local files through its built-in HTTP server. The server downloads attacker-specified configuration XML over HTTP, and its parser resolves external entities against the local file system before uploading the resulting content. No authentication or user interaction is required, and exposure is limited to files accessible to the logged-on macOS user.
