Account deletion via improper authorization checks
Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
Improper authorization in Cisco BroadWorks CommPilot Application Software allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary user accounts. The web-based management interface accepts crafted account-operation requests without enforcing the authorization assigned to the caller's role. A read-only system administrator account and configured web access control are required, and exploitation removes the selected account.
