LLDP database corruption via missing length checks
Published Oct 6, 2021 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
Memory corruption in Cisco Small Business 200 Series Smart Switches allows unauthenticated adjacent attackers to corrupt LLDP data. Missing length validation while processing LLDP messages permits an out-of-bounds read of packet data that corrupts the internal LLDP database. Exploitation requires presence in the same Layer 2 broadcast domain; Cisco reports integrity impact without public malicious use.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
