Buffer overflow in CAPWAP processing in Cisco IOS XE Software allows remote attackers to execute administrative code via crafted packets. CAPWAP packet validation applies incorrect logic to crafted fields, allowing packet data to overflow a heap buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required; exploitation grants administrative execution or crashes and reloads the controller.
