Command injection in Cisco Firepower Threat Defense Software allows local users to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges. The CLI insufficiently validates user-supplied arguments before the affected command processes them, permitting OS command injection. Exploitation requires authenticated local CLI access to a multi-instance deployment on a Firepower 4100 or 9300 Series appliance.
