Authenticated root command execution via crafted web input
Published Oct 6, 2021 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
Command injection in Cisco Intersight Virtual Appliance 1.0.9-150 through 1.0.9-292 allows remote authenticated users to execute root commands. The web-based management interface passes crafted input to a command execution path without sufficient validation. A valid management session is required, and successful exploitation grants root-level command execution on the appliance.
