Sensitive-file disclosure via HTTP path traversal
Published Nov 4, 2021 · Updated Nov 7, 2024
Path traversal in Cisco Unity Connection before 14SU1 allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive files via crafted HTTP requests. The web-based management interface fails to validate user-supplied paths and accepts directory traversal sequences that escape the intended directory. Valid interface credentials and network access are required, and the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of files on the appliance.
