Unauthenticated report disclosure via public PDF storage
Published Jul 19, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authentication bypass in Basix NEX-Forms 7.8.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to read stored PDF reports without authentication. The reporting backend writes each generated report to the predictable public path /wp-content/uploads/submission_report.pdf without access protection. An administrator must first export form submissions to PDF; exposure is limited to data in that report, with no reported ability to modify data or execute code.
