Reflected XSS via unescaped vws_notice output
Published Aug 16, 2021 · Updated May 5, 2025
Reflected XSS in VideoWhisper 2Way VideoCalls and Random Chat 5.2.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject web scripts. The vws_notice function in inc/requirements.php emits attacker-controlled content into an HTML response without neutralizing executable markup. Exploitation requires a user to follow a crafted request, after which the script executes in that user's browser under the WordPress site's origin.
