Stored script injection via forged currency settings
Published Aug 19, 2021 · Updated May 5, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in WP EasyCart 5.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to persist scripts through forged currency settings. The save_currency_settings function accepts a forged settings request and persists attacker-controlled script content without establishing that the request originated from the administrator. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to submit the forged request, after which the stored script executes in affected administrative page contexts.
