Configuration disclosure via traversable download template path
Published Aug 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in W3 Eden WordPress Download Manager 3.1.24 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read configuration files. The file[page_template] parameter accepts traversal paths, and the preview renderer echoes the selected file into the page source without confining it to template files. Contributor access exposes configuration contents; Author access also permits an uploaded image-extension JavaScript file to become stored XSS when the page is viewed.
