Remote code execution via forged file import
Published Jul 21, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in StoreApps WooCommerce Stock Manager 2.5.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to upload arbitrary files. The import handler in admin/views/import-export.php accepts a forged administrator request without a nonce check and stores an uploaded file without validating its type. Exploitation requires an administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link; an executable upload can then provide remote code execution and site takeover.
