Authenticated root command execution via management interface
Published Jul 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Command injection in ClearPass Policy Manager before 6.10.0, 6.9.6, and 6.8.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The web-based management interface passes attacker-controlled input from an undisclosed endpoint to operating-system command execution without sufficient neutralization. Administrative authentication is required; successful exploitation grants root-level control and can compromise appliance data, configuration, and availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
