Local code execution via unqualified DLL loading
Published May 11, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
DLL search-path hijacking in Wuxi Xinje XDPPro 3.5.1 and earlier allows local users to execute code through a planted DNSAPI.dll. XDPPro.exe calls LoadLibrary for DNSAPI.dll without a fully qualified path, searches its Program Files installation directory first, and loads an attacker-planted copy instead of the system library. Exploitation requires local file-write access and a user to open a project; the malicious DLL then runs with that user's account privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
