Unauthenticated administrative access via exposed configuration page
Published Dec 7, 2021 · Updated Nov 11, 2024
Authentication bypass in Solar-Log 500 before 2.8.2 Build 52 allows remote attackers to gain administrative access over HTTP. The web administration server exposes /lan.html without checking authentication, so the configuration interface grants administrative functions to any requester. Network reachability alone is sufficient; an unauthenticated requester can modify configuration files and change system status.
