CVE-2021-34512

SYSTEM code execution via pre-allocation integer overflow

Published Jul 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 10, 2026

Integer overflow in storport.sys in Microsoft Windows allows local users to execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges. The driver fails to validate user-supplied data before an integer calculation used to allocate a buffer, producing an undersized allocation. Exploitation requires prior low-privileged code execution on an affected installation and grants complete SYSTEM-context control.
