SYSTEM code execution via storport integer overflow
Published Jul 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Integer overflow in storport.sys in affected Microsoft Windows releases allows local users to execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges. The driver insufficiently validates user-supplied data, allowing an integer overflow before it allocates a buffer. Exploitation requires prior low-privileged code execution on the target and grants full SYSTEM-context execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
