Denial of service via unchecked SMC offset overflow
Published Jun 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Integer overflow in Trusty TLK on NVIDIA Jetson TX1 before 32.5.1 allows local users to trigger a denial-of-service condition. The tz_handle_trusted_app_smc function fails to check integer overflow in the req_off and param_ofs variables, corrupting critical kernel structures. Exploitation requires low local privileges, user interaction, and a TX1 configuration that uses TLK; the resulting impact is limited to service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
