CVE-2021-34388

Code execution via TegraBoot heap overflow

Published Jun 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Heap overflow in NVIDIA TegraBoot on Jetson Linux before 32.5.1 allows local users to execute code or interrupt device startup. NVIDIA identifies the bootloader heap as the locus, where an undisclosed operation can overwrite all RAM following the allocated block. Low-privilege local access is required, and successful exploitation can corrupt memory to run code or interrupt service; NVIDIA does not specify whether interruption causes a hang, crash, or reboot.
