Kernel memory overwrite via executable DRAM mapping
Published Jun 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Incorrect permissions in TLK on NVIDIA Jetson TX1 before 32.5.1 allow local users to overwrite protected TrustZone kernel memory. TLK identity-maps TrustZone-reserved DRAM with read, write, and execute permissions, making otherwise read-only kernel code and data writable. Exposure exists only when TLK is in use, and exploitation requires high local privileges and user interaction, placing trusted code and protected data at risk.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
