Unauthenticated arbitrary code execution
Published Sep 10, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
A stack buffer overflow in QNAP NVR Storage Expansion before 1.0.6 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code over the network. QNAP has not published the affected component, the input reaching it, or the operation that overruns the stack buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation permits attacker-controlled code to run on the NAS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
