Code execution via TIFF parser out-of-bounds write
Published Jul 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Siemens JT2Go and Teamcenter Visualization before V13.2 allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted TIFF files. The Tiff_loader.dll library fails to validate attacker-supplied TIFF data before writing past an allocated structure. Exploitation requires a user to open a malicious file or visit a page that causes the application to process one, after which code runs in the current process context.
