Buffer overflow in STMicroelectronics STM32Cube Middleware 1.8.0 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a crafted USB descriptor. The USBH_ParseCfgDesc parser trusts the descriptor wTotalLength value without checking it against the supplied buffer length, so subsequent descriptor walkers traverse beyond the input. A physically attached malicious USB device must supply the crafted descriptor; the resulting memory corruption permits code execution on the embedded target.
