Authenticated code execution via email configuration write

Published Feb 17, 2023 · Updated Mar 18, 2025

Command injection in LIZHIFAKA 2.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through the email settings page. The admin/api/config/editEmail endpoint writes a crafted password value into config/email.php without rejecting injected PHP code. Administrative access is required; successful exploitation installs a PHP web shell that grants control of the application site.
