Browser script execution via unneutralized servProvCode
Published Jun 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in Accela Civic Platform 21.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted servProvCode value. The security/hostSignon.do endpoint fails to neutralize the parameter before incorporating it into an HTML response. Execution requires a victim to follow a crafted request and is limited to browser-accessible data; Accela disputes the claim because configurable security flags prevented reproduction.
