CVE-2021-33886Public exploit

Command-line access via unsanitized printf format strings

Published Aug 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Improper input validation in B. Braun SpaceCom2 before 012U000062 allows remote attackers to gain user-level command-line access. The device passes a raw external string directly to printf statements instead of sanitizing it before format processing. Unauthenticated access from the device's local network is sufficient, exposing the communication device to command execution at user privilege.
