Local privilege escalation
Published Jul 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Elevation of privilege in Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows Server allows local users to gain higher privileges through the Cloud Files driver. Microsoft has not published the affected driver routine or the incorrect operation on attacker-controlled input. The attacker must already have low-privileged local code execution; successful exploitation grants higher privileges, but the resulting security context is undisclosed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
