Key disclosure via RC2-CBC PKINIT encryption
Published Jul 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 10, 2026
Information disclosure in Microsoft Windows Server KDC allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive data through Kerberos PKINIT. The KDC accepts RC2-CBC for encryption-mode key delivery, exposing key material through the weak cipher. Exploitation requires unauthenticated network access to a domain controller and a crafted PKINIT exchange; integrity and availability are unaffected.
