Authenticated SQL injection via crafted web requests
Published Oct 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Siemens SINEC NMS before V1.0 SP2 Update 1 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands in the local database via crafted webserver requests. The webserver fails to properly neutralize SQL metacharacters in request data, allowing attacker-controlled statements to reach database command processing. The gate is privileged authenticated access; impact is arbitrary database command execution, with potential data and service integrity consequences.
