Database command execution via firmware-container SQL injection
Published Oct 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Siemens SINEC NMS before 1.0 SP2 Update 1 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary database commands. The firmware-container import path forwards attacker-controlled content into local database commands without neutralizing SQL syntax. Access to the authenticated firmware-import function is required, and successful exploitation grants control over data held by the local database.
