Arbitrary file deletion via unchecked relative paths

Path traversal in Siemens SINEC NMS before 1.0 SP2 Update 1 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary files or directories. A server-side path check accepts a user-controlled relative path without confirming that the resolved path remains inside the intended target directory. High-privileged access to the HTTPS service is required, and deletion of application or system content can interrupt service.
