Traffic interception via certificate hostname mismatch
Published Sep 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper certificate validation in SAP Cloud Connector before 2.0 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read or modify backend traffic. The backend TLS connection accepts a certificate without sufficiently verifying that its hostname matches the intended endpoint. Exploitation requires an adjacent network position but no product credentials, and the published impact is limited to traffic confidentiality and integrity.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
