File disclosure via traversing backup ZIP entries
Published Sep 15, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Path traversal in SAP Cloud Connector before 2.0 allows remote attackers to read files outside the backup restore directory. The backup restore handler accepts ZIP entry names containing '..' and slash separators and resolves them beyond its restricted extraction path. The published assessment treats access as unauthenticated, although current SAP restore documentation assigns the Administrator role.
