Audit-trail integrity loss via omitted access records
Published Jul 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Insufficient logging in SAP NetWeaver AS Java before 7.50 allows remote authenticated users to evade audit records for denied access. The Administrator applications' denied-access path fails to create a security audit-log entry when a user lacks sufficient privileges. Reaching the path requires a logged-in low-privilege user and user interaction; the result is an incomplete audit trail rather than data access or service interruption.
