CVE-2021-33678Public exploitNetwork attack vector

System outage via unsanitized dynamic ABAP generation

Published Jul 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Code injection in SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 700 through 75F allows remote authenticated users to delete critical system tables via RFC. CONVERT_FROM_CHAR_SORT_RFW passes unsanitized import parameters into GENERATE SUBROUTINE POOL, causing attacker-supplied ABAP to execute. A highly privileged SAP account is required, and the demonstrated deletion of USR02 makes the target system completely unavailable.
