OS command execution via persisted directory script
Published Sep 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in SAP Contact Center before 700 allows remote authenticated users to execute code when an employee-directory entry is viewed. The directory workflow persists user-controlled values without sufficient output encoding, causing the browser to interpret a stored value as script. Exploitation requires high-privileged access and victim interaction; where ActiveX is enabled, the script can execute operating-system commands.
