Script execution via unescaped return parameter
Published Jun 17, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in MantisBT before 2.25.2 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via a crafted return parameter. manage_custom_field_edit_page.php writes the return value directly into a hidden input's value attribute without HTML attribute encoding. Execution requires a user with access to the custom-field management page to open the crafted request, exposing data and actions available in the MantisBT browser origin.
