Unauthenticated file disclosure via filename traversal
Published Aug 31, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Path traversal in Pepperl+Fuchs WirelessHART-Gateway 3.0.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files. The fcgi-bin/wgsetcgi HTTP handler uses the filename parameter to select files without confining the resolved path to an authorized directory. No authentication is required, and crafted traversal sequences expose application data, credentials, and operating-system files without enabling writes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=3.0.7 <=3.0.7
