Authenticated command injection via environment.lang
Published Sep 13, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Command injection in Geutebrück G-Cam/E2 Series and Encoder G-Code firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The oem.cgi endpoint passes the environment.lang parameter into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters, enabling command injection. Administrator-level web access is required, and successful exploitation runs commands with root privileges on the camera or encoder.
