Unauthenticated sensitive-file access via rewrite-rule bypass
Published Sep 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Authentication bypass in Geutebrück G-Cam/E2 Series and Encoder G-Code firmware allows remote attackers to access protected CGI files. The lighttpd rewrite rule matches only paths beginning with one slash, so double-slash or traversal-form requests reach /uapi-cgi files without HTTP Digest authentication. No credentials or user interaction are required; exposed CGI functions permit sensitive-file access, device manipulation, and service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
