Remote command execution via iw_serverip injection
Published Jun 25, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
OS command injection in Weidmüller Industrial WLAN firmware allows remote authenticated users to gain appliance control via iw_serverip. The iw_webs handler reflects the crafted parameter into a subsequent iw_system call without neutralizing command syntax. Low-privilege management access is sufficient across BL firmware 1.16.18 and earlier and VL firmware 1.11.10 and earlier.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
