Script execution via unescaped typing-status room title
Published Nov 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in OX Chat in OX Software GmbH OX App Suite 7.10.5 allows attackers to execute script code in users' browsers. The frontend typing-status method inserts a user-controlled room title into the DOM without escaping it. The attacker must share an OX context with the victim and induce the victim to join and interact with the crafted room, enabling session hijacking or unwanted web-interface actions.
