Phishing via extrapolated OpenPGP UID trust

Sender-identity spoofing in GNOME Evolution 3.38.3 and earlier allows attackers to present forged identities as valid OpenPGP signatures. Evolution combines key-level trust from GnuPG status output with the key's primary UID without retrieving and checking that UID's individual validity. Exploitation requires an attacker-controlled key with an already trusted UID and a recipient who opens the signed message; the issue's significance and correction locus are disputed.
