Stored XSS via unsanitized administrator profile name
Published May 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in PHPGurukul COVID19 Testing Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in an administrator's browser. The administrator profile accepts the Admin name value without effective input validation and stores it for inclusion in pages throughout the application. Administrative credentials are required to plant the payload, and browser execution occurs when an administrator visits another section, exposing that session's cookies or page data.
