Remote code execution via chained ticket attachment flaws
Published Mar 8, 2023 · Updated Mar 5, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Wyomind Help Desk 1.3.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a ticket attachment. A stored script in the ticket message runs in an administrator's browser, enables PHAR attachments, rewrites the attachment path into the public web root, and leaves the uploaded PHAR executable by URL. Exploitation requires a customer session, an administrator to view the ticket, and a web server configured to execute the resulting PHAR file; success runs attacker-supplied PHP on the Magento host.
