Stored XSS via unneutralized template and tag input
Published Jun 18, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in JPress 3.3.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run script in visitors' browsers via crafted template or tag data. Template settings and commodity tag management store submitted markup and render it on home or commodity pages, where browsers execute injected script. Access to the administrative backend is required; execution then depends on a visitor opening an affected page and enables theft of browser-accessible data or page-content changes.
